At SILC Academy, leadership learning doesn’t stop when the snow falls — it simply shifts into a new and exhilarating winter landscape. Our Winter Leadership Camp in Switzerland blends purposeful learning with thrilling outdoor experiences, giving students the opportunity to grow through adventure, teamwork, and real-world challenges in the heart of the Alps.
Across a week of activities and workshops, students don’t just learn about leadership — they live it. In a beautifully cosy Swiss chalet setting near Gstaad and Château-d’Oex, every day brings new opportunities to develop confidence, resilience, communication, and collaboration while making lifelong memories and friendships.

Whether it’s gliding across snowy fields on cross-country skis, building igloos with team strategy, navigating snowy trails, or playing team challenges under a torch-lit sky, every activity is designed to help students practise leadership in motion.
Just like our summer programmes, the winter curriculum is woven into these practical challenges. Students strengthen skills such as goal setting, communication, teamwork, time management, global citizenship, and well-being – all through guided reflection and real tasks rather than classroom theory.
A glimpse of the many available activities at our SILC winter camp, all fully integrated with our leadership modules. All activities are suitable for all fitness and experience levels!
All of our activities are purposely designed to deliver learning outcomes in the following areas:
Students are encouraged and motivated to develop their leadership skills throughout all activities during the week. During fun-filled workshops packed with games, students master the essence of some techniques which they can apply during all camp activities.
All workshops are highly interactive and are given by SILC Academy trainers who have over 12 years of experience working with students from the top schools around the world. All workshops involve dynamic presentations, games, evaluations and personal action plans – no dull classroom moments but learning while doing!
Senior trainers work with students around the clock to provide feedback and support on the learning outcomes during camp activities. Our trainers have extensive experience working with young leaders from all cultures around the world.
What makes SILC winter leadership experiences special is the combination of purposeful challenge and joyful exploration. Learning happens naturally — through experiences that demand teamwork, communication, decision-making, and adaptability.
Each participant also receives a Personal Action Plan at the end of camp — a tool that supports ongoing growth and goal setting long after the winter weeks have ended.
Like all SILC programmes, the winter leadership curriculum is developed in-house and enriched by collaboration with leading schools around the world. Trainers bring extensive experience in education and specialised fields such as outdoor leadership, teamwork development, and adventure sport, ensuring every activity is purposeful and safe.
Winter brings a different kind of challenge and opportunity — one where crisp mountain air, snowy landscapes, and shared experiences create fertile ground for personal and leadership growth. Our Winter Leadership Camp is open to students aged 10–17 and combines unforgettable outdoor activities with intentional learning and connection.
From cross-country skiing and igloo building to night walks and team challenges, this is a leadership experience shaped by action, reflection, and joy — an experience students will remember long after the snow has melted.
The SILC Winter Leadership Camp collaborates with world-class organisations and educational groups to teach students relevant 21st Century skills. Students learn from industry leaders and expert trainers, benefiting from a curricular framework developed in partnership with some of the top private schools around the world.
Students take the lead throughout the week, not only developing their leadership ability, but also refining the communication, teamwork and planning skills that help them to succeed both in the classroom, their exams and later life.
Each participant receives our Personal Action Plan at the end of the camp – a tool that has proven to help students with academic performance and provides an ongoing goal structure that can be discussed with parents and teachers.
Students can later apply these 21st Century skills in their daily lives, at school, sports and when applying to university.
